POINTS OF INTEREST

BIG BURN WALKS
There are two starting points to this walk. The first begins at the old bridge at the north end of the village. This “Little Bridge” as it was known historically, was the rallying point for the Clan Sutherland. The walk to the waterfall takes about 20 minutes and passes through mixed deciduous woodland, rich in flora and fauna. The flowers in May and June are a spectacular mix of primroses, bluebells, celandines, wood sorrel, campion and wild garlic. The second starting point begins at the carpark, signposted to Backies off the A9. This is a shorter walk but the path is quite steep in places.
