Walking
When using the various routes around Golspie please follow the Scottish Outdoor Access Code The routes featured in this website have all been allocated with a grading to provide some guidance in choosing a walk. This guidance is provided as an indication only and may change through time or due to inclement weather conditions. Please always go prepared with outdoor gear suitable for the type and duration of walk chosen.
GRADINGS
| Slight inclines, mostly good paths. Trainer type shoes are probably adequate in dry conditions. | |
| Several inclines but clear pathways. Good walking shoes advised. | |

Walk 1 - Dunrobin Wood
A very easy but pleasant walk through the woodland to Dunrobin Castle
Walk 2 - Balblair Wood
A sheltered walk through Balblair Wood, with some walking on the seashore
Walk 3 - Golspie to Brora
This walk takes you along the shoreline or beach from Golspie to Brora
Walk 4 - Golspie to Brora (inland route)
This takes you through Dunrobin Wood and on past Uppat House to the Doll
Walk 5 - Golspie Woodland
This is a sheltered walk through gorge woodland to a waterfall
Walk 6 - Little Ferry
This walk takes you through part of the Loch Fleet
National Nature Reserve
Walk 7 - Dunrobin Castle & Big Burn
This walk will take you through wood, along shoreline, past Dunrobin Castle and Station, and through the picturesque Big Burn pathways
Walk 8 - Queens Drive
This is a pleasant walk along the Queen’s Drive
Walk 9 - Big Burn
The Big Burn offers a very sheltered walk with an air of mystery
Walk 10 - Ben Bhraggie
This walk takes in the Ben Bhraggie hill and although short is steep in some parts
Walk 11 - Loch Lunndaidh
This is an upland route requiring a high level of fitness and hill walking gear
Walk 12 - Skating Pond (All Abilities)
This is an All Abilities walk, with wheelchair friendly path and access.
