St Andrews Church
St. Andrew's was built in 1737-9 to replace a succession of churches which had stood on the site since the thirteenth century. Apart from the addition of a South transept in 1751, it has undergone little change since. Many consider it the finest little Post-Reformation country church in Scotland. The pulpit canopy is dated 1738; it, and the Earls of Sutherland's loft, were constructed and carved by Kenneth Sutherland, then the Estate Joiner.

The churchyard has many early burials. A short history of the church is available, and more detail may be found in Golspie's Story by Margaret Wilson Grant (pub. The Northern Times, 1983). Extensive conservation work has been done in recent years, funded by Historic Scotland, The Scottish Churches Architectural Trust, the Church of Scotland, and many others.
Sunday Worship is at 11a.m.; if you would like to see over the church at other times, phone the Session Clerk on 01408 633 414
We welcome you to our village, and our church.
