Swimming Pool
The 25 metre swimming pool caters for both the leisurely and the serious swimmer with adult-only session available. It is used by clubs and individuals and has spectator seating, ideal for competitions and galas.
Sauna
Sample the Scandinavian way to relax. Health benefits include, stimulating the heart and skin, cleansing the pores and inducing a wonderful feeling of relaxation. Various fragrances available.
Steam Cabin
The benefits of a relaxing steam bath have been recognised for thousands of years. The gentle cleansing action is not only great for the complextion but relaxes the whole body. Ideal for those who find the heat of a sauna too harsh.
Classes
A regular programme of swimming lessons caters for children from 5 years old to adults and swimmers of any abilities. The weekly aquafit class is suitable for swimmers and non-swimmers.
Aqua Fun Run
Catering specially for the young and active this obstacle course - on water - provides loads of fun and entertainment.
Clubs
Canoeing and swimming are the two main clubs which enjoy the use of the swimming pool. Contact the Sutherland Swimming Pool Complex for further details on how to join clubs.
Fitness Suite
The compact but comprehensive fitness room can provide an excellent workout for those who want to get in shape and stay trim. Cardiovascular equipment includes a treadmill, stepper, rowing and cycling machines, along with the latest weight resistance equipment.
The fitness suite is available for use throughout the day. All new users are required to attend an induction course prior to using the fitness suite, to receive a basic introduction to the correct use of the equipment. Induction courses should be booked in advance.
How to get there
Free car parking is available accessed from Back Road only. Pedestrian access is also via Main Street. People with a disability are welcome with disabled access, parking facilities, ramped access, toilet facilities and a poolside hoist all provided to make your visit and enjoyable one.
